So, in accordance to that, I would be bringing something closer to home for the folks here and also to those who will be visiting the Singapore Tattoo Convention in January 2009 !!

This is not a tour but more of a private event where 3 main elements will be showcased - Inking on Skin & Paper and Photography, brought to you by Immortal Tattoos, Singapore.

This new job is definitely the most challenging. I was in the workforce for 10+ years and decided to quit my job and join hubby here in Singapore mid last month. I have been taking care of the house, hubby and our little princess since then. Two weeks have passed and being a stay at home mom is definitely not the easiest! As I said to our friends, my client here is the most demanding. I have conquered the Japanese, the Greeks, I can manage a terrible two year old. =) I can do this!!

Pink Sisterhood

I rarely do tags. But the topic of this one is close to home.
My grandmother (nanay ng nanay ko) died of breast cancer 3yrs ago. So of all the diseases out there that I should be afraid of, this is the one I'm most afraid. My mom, me and Ela are of greater risk of this disease because of our medical history. I'm more afraid also because I always have benign cysts in my breast since I was in 1st yr college. Some were removed back in 1994 and everytime I have a breast u/s, the technician finds some. Most are small so my OB said it is ok not to remove them. But I always try to make sure to have a breast ultrasound every year.

Feeding set for babies

Before this picture acquires dust, I would like to share it to my blog readers (if there is any).

Saw this baby feeding set in the baby section of the most popular department store in the Manila. The feeding set looked nice - even nice enough to be a gift to some kid. But when we saw the back of the box, we were in shock!! After the scare a few months back, will you let any child feed from this? Que horror!!

Rockwell is turning Japanese-y

One thing I so love about Japan (and soooo miss right now) is its food.
True that the usual Japanese food is an acquired taste - I did not like miso soup the first time I tasted it - but once you loved it, you will want more!

On our first day as Intra-company assignee, Kayumi-san (hay... i also so miss this guy. he was like our dad there) took us to Pepper Lunch in Fuchu City for lunch. When I had the first bite of the famous Pepper Steak, I knew we will be coming back for more. This is the meal/resto where I can eat almost everyday - this we almost did! :P

Japan is also the place where you can find almost any kind/variation of chocolate. They have a LOT - especially when it is Valentine's day. On V-day the girls usually give chocolates to their male colleagues and friends. But it was not V-day when we tasted the best chocolate ever! Kitayama-san gave us Royce chocolates as omiyage from his hometown in Hokkaido. This is the chocolate that melts in your mouth and also on your hands. LOL.

Pepper Lunch is already available in Rockwell. Royce store will open soon. How I wish I could frequent Rockwell so I could eat PL and Royce chocolates everyday - goodbye diet! :P

LP: Aking Kompyuter

Sobrang tagal na mula nang ako'y huling mag-post sa LP. Pasensya na po... Sadyang toxic lang sa mga nakaraang linggo sa trabaho. At medyo nakakatamad kumuha ng larawan sa aming pipitsuging camera. Mas gusto ko pa ngang kumuha ng larawan gamit ang aking mumunting cellfone.

Pero dahil malapit sa aking puso ang paksa nung nakaraang linggo, makiki-post na din ako kahit sobrang huli na.

Sa inaraw-araw na ginawa ng Diyos, hindi makukumpleto ang araw ko nang hindi makakakuha ng radiation galing sa kompyuter screen. Sa pagmulat ng aking mata hanggang sa pagpikit upang matulog na, naka-harap ako sa kompyuter. Ito din ay dahil sa aking linya ng trabaho sa IT. Hindi ko alam kung ano mangyayari sa akin kung walang kompyuter. Kaya hwag nyo akong dadalhin sa liblib at malayong lugar na walang internet, mamatay ako. hahaha.

Ang unang larawan ay ang aking kompyuter sa bahay. Dati-rati desktop ang kompyuter ko. Pero ngayon mas gusto ko na ang laptop. Hindi ko naman sya inilalabas ng bahay pero mas malawak sya at hindi masyadong mabusisi sa mga aksesorya. Nasa likod nya ang aming ever-reliable-na-malapit-na-ding-bumigay na external HDD na si dingga. Matagal na sya sa amin, may lampas 4 taon na din yata. Pero napaglalagyan pa din ng mga backup files. Pede na syang mag-retiro. :P

Ang pangalawang larawan ay ang aking compyuter sa upisina. Laptop din sya. Kaya wala akong dahilan para hindi makapag-trabaho sa bahay. Ganyan lamang ang kanyang itsura sa maghapon dahil ako ay may external monitor at keyboard. So parang desktop din sya. hahaha. Ayaw kong iniuuwi ito dahil mabigat. Kung pede nga lang mag-request ng bagong laptop. :P Pero di na din nila ako pagbibigyan kasi ako'y malapit nang umalis.

I want a new Digi-cam

I haven't been blogging much. I cannot even join LP coz I don't have a decent camera. And I want a new one - now!!

Saw this cute new Canon Digicam from ShopCrazy. I miss my CanonJP days. When new products from Canon is released, we always get the news first from the intranet. And I miss Japan where there are lots of electronics shops where I can play with these new toys first before buying.

But since this is from Canon, I don't really need to test this first. I'm still very loyal to that brand even if I already left the company. They have really good products.

The ever increasing trend now, seems to be catching on. Without a doubt, limits are pushed to move this "styled" tattoo in bigger scales than what it was, originally.

Due to the increasing popularity of this tattoo, I will control the number of people getting it done, so as to, it will not become too common in time to come. Therefore, I will push the limits even further by doing various variations in accordance to this style !!

I guess I owe the "Lovely Ms.Kim" a kiss, for the inspiration tothe many out there!! Woo hoo !!

I'm not really a big fan of the Olympic games. But since I can surf the net while in the office, and all homepages of search engines have Olympic updates, I browse some articles every now and then.
So far I'm loving the Yahoo! Sports blog Fourth Place Medal. They have these funny, witty insider articles about the games, the athletes and even the spectators. These pictures from Pres. Bush are so funny! Why does he look "abnoy" sometimes? Ampangit! :P

Long Haitus

Ladies and Gentlemen, the loyal followers and readers to this blog - I apologize for the long hiatus.

I have been very busy with revamping the studio, dealing with newer bigger projects, facing dumb asses and figuring out whether to sue "someone" who messed with Immortal Tattoos, Singapore.

I have revamped this blog a little as well, and I am still trying to make it bit more better.

I have added the Tattoo Appointments and Deposits column on the left, so it will be more easier to understand the rule and nature.

I promise to upload more stuffs in couple of days or maybe in a week or two !! So, stay tuned !!

una muna... ipagpa-umahin na mali ang aking unang akda para sa linggong ito. nagkada-duling na yata ako at tema para sa susunod na buwan ang aking natingnan.


kuha ito sa likod ng mall of asia sa pasay. noong araw ng mga tatay, pagkatapos naming mamasyal sa fun ranch, napag-isipang maglakwatsa pa at dito kami napadpad. mahigit isang taon na ang nakakaraan nang kami'y magpunta dito. noo'y hindi pa bukas ang lugar na ito sa may tabing dagat. noong kami'y magpunta, maraming tao at marami na ring mga tindahan na nandito. hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na makakita ng dagat ang aming prinsesa. nadala na namin sya noong isang taon sa batangas. pero sa pagkakataon ito ay tuwang-tuwa siya. aliw na aliw sa hampas ng alon. ang akin namang butihing asawa ay sinasariwa ang kanyang kabataan - noong naliligo pa sya sa breakwater sa manila bay (yak!). pag naiisip nya ito ngayon siya ay nandidiri na din (hehehe). napakasaya ng araw na ito. isa sa mga magagandang weekend bonding moments naming mag-anak. (naiiyak ako!)

LP: Berde

Nandito ako ngayon sa Mozu - isang kainan na malapit dito sa aking pinapasukan dito sa Ortigas. Ika-5 na ng hapon pero katatapos ko lamang mananghalian. Itong "damong" ito ang palamuti sa aking Tuna Pocket sandwich. Pamilyar sa akin itong dahon na ito dahil pinaglalaruan ko ito nung bata pa ako at inilalahok sa aking lutu-lutuan. Nakaka-miss ang aking mga laruan nung ako'y bata pa. Sana magkaron din si Ela ng ganon at sana'y maging masaya ang kanyang kabataan.
Masarap kaya itong dahon na ito? Hindi ko tinikman.

What a Phrase?!

A tattoo which I did for my customer today, made me understand of how comical life can be in its own way. It made me realise of how simple life is.

A beautiful tattoo which not many would prefer it on their body. A statement which differs you from the rest. Well, it is for life - So might as well, live with it !!

Favorite News Reads of the Day

Some hospitals getting in way of breast-feeding
- I've always been a breastfeeding advocate. Even if I was not able to purely breastfed Ela. She was mixed fed from her 3rd month onwards. And I only breastfed until her 14th month. But I always support new moms in their breastfeeding. Even tried coaching a friend in breastfeeding her newborn - and it was a success! :) I just hope breastfeeding can be promoted more than formula-feeding. It really have good benefits for our kids.

Acer Aspire One is quite literally 'the one'
- It is a battle of mini-notebook PCs! It's like everyday there is news of a new model and some are better than the others. We are a fan of mini-notes - we have the 1st gen Asus EEE PC. They are just so cute, so portable and so reliable. How I wish I have one of those as my office PC. I have this bulky MegaBook and I am sometimes too lazy to bring it home coz of its weight and its too bulky. Plus the bag is so un-girly (that is why im buying myself a laptop bag at the bazaar later).
